Global Digital Publishing (GDP,) is the main, and non-exclusive, “Commercial Host” of a unique virtual reality game (also serving as a charity fund-raiser) where Players earn real goods and services. The Game, FREE DIGITAL UNIVERSE (FDU,) is a virtual world designed to help people and the planet respond to the exponential social and economic challenges of the Information Age. Over 30% of the entire GDP Enterprise profits are re-directed to charities via the Game, and publicly through our various divisions, and a third party Trust.
GDP Users in the FDU actually profit from playing the FDU game for activities such as sharing information, selling digital content they publish, posting pictures, music, videos, and creating a fun CyberMall through which they can also earn. They are provided a private account for receipt of their Avatars earnings and a common unencumbered currency that is exchangeable for real products, services, and other currencies.
Users whom have no address or credit card – will be able to enter the digital economy and begin to prosper from the Information Age. In the immediate years to come, those whom missed out on the prosperity and development of the Industrial Age Economy will find fertile opportunity in the Information Age.
Even in the poorest countries where people have no address, no water or power, they do have cell phones or computers in a growing number of locations because of charitable and humanitarian technology donations or outreach provided by One Laptop per Child, Inveneo or Room to Read.
GDP is separated into five (5) distinct Divisions, the first two of which are listed in our topic areas, the other three of which will come online once the private FDU economy is seeded with sufficient funds to support those activities. GDP has a long term vision.
