Cliff Lyon

Cliff brings a valuable combination of skills and experience to ManyOne. He taught himself to program on the first PCs and became the New England District Manager for Ashton Tate (dBase, MultiMate, Framework) several years out of college. Cliff went on to spend the next seven years consulting on technology and application development in financial analysis, modeling and expert systems for Fidelity, Gillette, Dunn and Bradstreet, Reebok and others.

Cliff came to Salt Lake City in 1992 to build The Lyon Company as a principle, COO, and CTO. His company achieved exponential growth through acquisition, ranking near the top of the Inc 500 for two consecutive years.

In 2002, Cliff left the for-profit world and began helping local non-profits with technology and fundraising and co-founded Rhythms of Life as a self-sustaining non-profit after school enrichment provider.

Since 2004, Cliff has also been intensely involved in netroots politics and established several of the most highly trafficked issue blogs in the world two of which have been featured in Rolling Stone Magazine, Fox News, CNN and one which achieved Google's most hits ranking for two consecutive days.

Cliff has and holds a number of board, advisory and civic roles including a short stint as the interim Director of Communications for Salt Lake City Mayor Rocky Anderson.

Cliff spent three years studying in Israel, Germany and Italy and has a B.A., International Relations, minor in Language and Philosophy from The University of Vermont.
